ZiD VOX is easy to use and provides great features, and saves you money. This reference guide will help you get started once you have installed your ZiD VOX telephone adapter and are ready to use the service.
Basic Phone Functions
Use your phone, speakerphone, or headset just like you always have in order to make, answer, or end a call. For Canadian local calls, dial the full 10-digit telephone number. For long distance calls dial 1+ the 10-digit phone number for North America. For International call Dial 011 plus the country code and then the phone number.
ZiD VOX Portal
ZiD VOX Portal is located at http://portal.zidvox.com.You can use it to configure features, listen to voicemail, record greetings, access and update your 911 information. Login information is included in the welcome letter.
Listening to Voicemail.
Voicemail is standard with all ZiD VOX packages. If you have a voicemail message, you hear a stutter dial tone (your message indicator will also be lit on your telephone, if applicable). To access the message, dial 5000. When prompted, enter your pin number provided in your welcome letter. To remotely access your voicemail, dial your telephone number, when the greeting begins, dial 5001. You can also listen to your voicemail from your PC via the ZiD VOX portal.
ZiD VOX Mobility
Your ZiD VOX phone can be used anywhere you have a broadband Internet connection, universal power supply and compatible telephone cabling (RJ-11). Remember if you move your telephone adapter, even temporarily, you must change your address on record for 911 emergency services.

Send caller right to voicemail- even before first ring, Use the ZiD VOX control panel to activate and deactivate this feature. |

Call Forwarding |
Use ZiD VOX control panel to forward your calls to another phone. Long distance charges may apply. |
3 way Calling |
If you have the Linksys adapter: dial the first party’s number. Once connected, press the flash button on your telephone. When you hear a dial tone, dial the second party’s number. Once they are connected, press flash button again. All parties will be connected on the call. |
Call Waiting |
Allows you to place a caller on hold to accept a second incoming call. A soft beep will alert you to an incoming call, which you can answer using the flash button on your phone. If not the call will go to voicemail. |
Visual Call Waiting |
When a second call comes in on your phone, you can see the caller ID and name, if available. Like Call waiting, you can choose to press flash button to take the call, or let it go to voicemail. |
